With Kanye West promising a new album last week, it should come as no surprise that DONDA was not released on streaming sites.
The rapper performed his new album in its entirety at Atlanta’s Mercedes Benz Stadium before concluding that he needed more time.
On Friday, fans waited all day to learn from Justin LaBoy that the album would be delayed until the first week of August.
The good news is that Kanye is working hard.
The rapper is said to have temporarily relocated to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where he and his team have set up shop in a dressing room.
It’s an unconventional technique, to be sure, but Kanye has never been one to follow the crowd.
He posted a snapshot of his “bedroom” last night, which consists mostly of a mattress and a closet with a few articles of clothing.
A short appearance in the crowd during an Atlanta United soccer match appeared to corroborate ‘Ye’s residency within the stadium.
The rapper arrived in the same clothes he wore to the listening party, ensuring that fans were aware that he was hard at work on DONDA.
Kanye West’s arrival in Mercedez Benz Stadium has been welcomed.
They changed their name on Twitter for a short time to “STUDIO DONDA At Mercedes-Benz Stadium, to be exact.”
It has subsequently been altered, although there are still “DONDA Studio” door signs.
Clearly, the wonderful people at Mercedez-Benz Stadium don’t mind Kanye staying in their building for a few more weeks.
