Whatever you might think of Boosie Badazz, his fans have grown to admire his frank and sometimes unapologetic way of expressing himself.
Despite the fact that some of his opinions have gotten him into trouble, he continues to speak his mind whenever he feels compelled.
After O.J. Simpson expressed his views on the shooting death of 16-year-old Ma’khia Bryant, Boosie felt compelled to speak out against him.
For background, Bryant’s death at the hands of cops caused outrage, prompting LeBron James to tweet “YOU’RE NEXT #ACCOUNTABILITY” in a since-deleted tweet.
Many people suspected Bron of fanning the flames and inciting violence after he sent his letter. One such critic was O.J. Simpson, who addressed LeBron with a video message of his own.
“Let the truth speak for themselves! @LeBronJames, #LeBronJames, #LeBronJames “Simpson’s captions “Before you comment about any of the negative things that are going on in some police agencies, you should take your time and be a little more careful. When I saw the whole thing, the police officer had no choice but to react. We wish he could have used a taser or done it in a different way, but in that case, it seems to me that another young American would have been killed if he hadn’t done what he did. I can’t say I blame him for what he did. I wish it were different, but I can’t see something wrong with it.”
Following O.J.’s video post, Boosie Badazz went live on Instagram to say some harsh things of his own.
“How the hell are you going to tell LeBron to stop standing up for our race, O.J. Simpson?” asks Boosie. “You’re going to be a voice for our people. I was rooting for you all the way. We were able to get you free. You were set free by a black man! You were set free by the black community. And you’re going to tell them to take it easy? It’s time for you to relax. You’d better relax.”
He then gives an unflinching glare to emphasize his point.
“Get the hell out of LeBron’s head. You’d better relax. You’re completely wrong, guy. You’re expected to be in the lead. You’re going to be on the front lines of this heinous crime!”
