During the “Real Housewives of Dallas” reunion, Brandi Redmond shared her raw feelings about how heartbreaking it was to watch a viral video of her husband kissing another woman.
On Tuesday night’s “RHOD” episode, she told host Andy Cohen, “I’m sad that I’m aware of when that happened.” “It happened in Las Vegas during my sister and brother-in-dual law’s bachelor/bachelorette party.”
She went on to say, “But yeah, I’m incredibly frustrated,” before crying in front of her co-stars, who stood helpless.
The video, which Brandi claims was shot in 2018, first surfaced in March and shows a man who appears to be Bryan with his arms wrapped around another woman in a bar, taking her in for a kiss at one point.
Brandi was asked by Cohen if she wanted to stay with Bryan, her high school sweetheart, and husband since 2003. They are the parents of four children: Brinkley, 9, Brooklyn, 11, and Brilynn, 2 months, are their daughters, and Bruin, 2, is their son.
“I’ll tell you that this has been the craziest year of my life and my darkest hour,” Redmond said, tears streaming down his face.
“That guy helped me and continues to help me, so I feel like I’d be a jerk if I didn’t, you know, be there for him because he’s in pain right now.”
The worst part, according to Brandi, is that a fan sent the video to one of their daughters’ private Instagram accounts, allowing her to see it.
“As much as I can be angry and things, that’s her father, and I just feel like it’s not okay,” she sobbed.
Brandi, 42, sat next to Kary Brittingham on the flight from Dallas to New York, and Brittingham, 50, tested positive for coronavirus upon her arrival in the Big Apple.
Brandi’s castmates have all shared their love for her. Stephanie Hollman, her best friend, told Cohen that she was upset at Bryan’s actions despite not having talked to him explicitly about the video.
She said, “She’s been through so much.” “I was afraid she was going to harm herself, so I had a good friend [check on her]…’ Since all of us were pretty much traveling, I was like, “You have to go see her because I can’t get a hold of her.” It was the start of spring break.
“And then he said he walked into the baby’s room, and it was pitch dark, and she was sitting in the corner, holding her baby and bawling, and it just broke my heart,” she said. “It literally broke my heart.”
Brandi concluded by claiming that she thinks the video was re-released in order to damage her, with some of her co-stars pointing the finger at Leanne Locken. Locken denied any social media involvement.
The timeline of Redmond’s pregnancy with Brilynn was broken down earlier in the show, with Redmond revealing that she gave birth in February, which meant she was pregnant — and drinking — during the season.
“I was probably two weeks pregnant when we began filming,” Brandi said. “And I was out of my first trimester by the time I found out I was pregnant, so yeah.”
Brandi went on to say that she found out she was pregnant during her annual gynecological appointment, and that her pregnancy was a “miracle” because she had already been told she was pre-menopausal and that her chances of being pregnant were slim.
“She came in and told me, ‘You came back positive that you’re pregnant,’ she said. So she does a scan on my stomach, and I see a baby on the screen, and I have a heart attack, and my doctor says, ‘Brandi, this is incredible!’ This is nothing short of a miracle! I have to ask, isn’t this Bryan’s?’ ‘What?’ I exclaimed. No way! ‘This is Bryan’s property!’ ‘Well, I was just making sure because you seem worried about it,’ she said.
Brandi then admitted to her doctor that she hadn’t been properly caring for herself or her daughter, but Brilynn was born well.
