Coi Leray Responds To Critics Questioning Her XXL Freshman Freestyle

Coi Leray’s ascension in the rap game hasn’t been without criticism, but it seems like there’s an abundance of it whenever she takes the stage.

Leray was featured on the XXL Freshman cover this year, and her Freshman freestyle was released today.

Despite the fact that many of her admirers applauded her performance, she was nonetheless criticized online.

As people continue to point out that her father is Benzino, Coi published a message from her brother in which he responds to those who judge his family and home.

“Ya don’t know what goes on behind closed doors and how badly some family’s struggle. People be so quick to assume on how somebody’s life was growing up when MFS don’t know shit,”

Coi quickly reposted it to her story, adding, “My baby bro.”

She made it apparent that she’s made it this far without releasing an album after immediately flooding her timeline with retweets from admirers expressing their appreciation for her freestyle.

Then she paraphrased Nicki’s verse from “Monster” to show how much she relies on features. What does Nicki have to say about it? 50k for a verse with no album?” She added a winking emoji to her post.

“At The Top,” a new track by Coi LeRay featuring Kodak Black and DJ Mustard, was released last week.
