UFC 264 is shaping up to be a major MMA event, as the trilogy battle between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier will finally take place.
These two men are UFC giants, and following Poirier’s spectacular victory just a few months ago, fans are eager to see if Conor can return and prove just how much of a legend he is.
Of course, if McGregor loses, finding another match that will let him to even sniff another belt could be difficult.
Some major celebrities are expected to attend, including Donald Trump, who has long been a buddy of UFC president Dana White.
In fact, White recently spoke with TMZ about Trump’s role in the fight, explaining that Trump will be seated on the octagon side come Saturday night.
Many speculated that Trump would choose a private booth above the octagon, but he will be among the people.
Trump was immensely unpopular in the latter months of his presidency.
This could result in some unwelcome boos for the former commander in chief on Saturday night, however if there’s one thing Trump enjoys, it’s the spotlight.
In any case, Trump’s presence will draw a sizable crowd to UFC 264, regardless of how liked or loathed he is.
When it comes to the Poirier vs. McGregor fight, Poirier is now the betting favourite, yet anything can happen in the UFC.
