Kanye West gave a live performance of a revised version of his next album, Donda, during the record’s second listening session, which was streamed live on Apple Music on Thursday night, but the highly anticipated project was not released.
Many fans who waited up late for the concert felt betrayed, while others were ecstatic to hear the new song.
“Last night’s Kanye West: Donda listening party was one of the most amazing events I’ve ever seen. The 5 hour journey was well worth it.” After the concert, one ebullient admirer remarked on Twitter.
According to the latest reports, the album will be released on August 9th, but with West, everything is possible.
One of West’s collaborators on the project recently stated that the team wants to wait until Drake releases Certified Lover Boy before releasing the album.
“Kanye is a genius for delaying the release of DONDA. He’s pressuring Drake to postpone CLB. CLB is finished, and Drizzy will not release it until Donda is out and played out” According to one Twitter user.
“It appears Kanye may even wait until the night Drake releases CLB to unleash a surprise.”
