Authorities claim the woman’s husband shot them both, killing her and leaving her daughter fighting for her life.
On June 6, Capucine Carson, 37, and her three-year-old daughter, Kimbella, were shot. Toffara Snow, the woman’s husband, is accused of shooting them after an altercation, according to authorities.
Snow, 37, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound later that day.
Witnesses told police they heard Snow and Carson arguing shortly before midnight on the night she died, according to a police affidavit obtained by the Orlando Sentinel. Carson informed Snow that she would be staying in a hotel rather than the couple’s shared residence.
According to the complaint, Carson hopped into her car with Kimbella and two other children at some time. Snow got into the backseat as Carson attempted to drive away. According to the affidavit, he started shooting.
Carson was shot ten times and died as a result of her wounds. Kimbella was hit in the head once. She was transported to the hospital for surgery, and her condition is serious.
Snow has vanished from the scene. He contacted his mother while on the run and told her he had shot Carson during an altercation. His mother arrived on the scene and gave the phone over to the cops.
Snow informed the officer that he “knew he was going to prison and wanted to give in the pistol he used but also wanted to see his mother beforehand,” according to the affidavit.
Snow was apprehended by police at a Big Lots parking lot, where he shot himself. On June 11, he passed away in the hospital.
Carson’s family is now grieving his death.
Her brother commented on a GoFundMe campaign established up for her children;
“She had this super duper lovely spirit.” “Funny. However, he is both passive and determined. A mother who would go to any length to ensure that her children – EJ, Lamar, MyKenzie, Kymoni, Kimbella, and Zion – had all they needed.”
