Logan Paul, a YouTuber, disproved his critics by going the distance against the greatest pound-for-pound fighter of all time.
However, not everyone believes it.
As the dust settles on yet another Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather boxing spectacle that has left a sour taste in the mouths of many in the fight world, some sharp-eyed fans refuse to believe the story they’ve been fed.
The bout reached the distance, as it does with most Mayweather battles. For years, Mayweather has relied on outboxing opponents because he has never been a big puncher.
Despite this, most people assumed that the undefeated legend would eventually catch Paul because to his expertise level.
In the latter rounds, Mayweather walked Paul down, landing 43 total punches to Paul’s 28 – 36 of which were power shots. Paul made a total of 21 power shots. The decisive blow, however, was never delivered.
However, a small video that has gone viral on social media among dissatisfied fans has many fans questioning whether the couple agreed to go the distance before touching gloves.
Mayweather slipped a sloppy overhand right from Paul in the final seconds of the sixth round and countered with a tight right hook.
Paul appeared to be knocked out as he fell forwards on Mayweather, who swiftly grabbed the YouTuber and tried to prop him up.
Mayweather was seen holding on to Paul’s lumbering bulk for a few seconds after the bell rang to signal the conclusion of the round before cameras turned to a view of the crowd as the referee stepped in.
While some argue that the strike could have resulted in a fight-ending knockout, others argue that Mayweather prevented a face-first knockdown.
“The moment you realize Floyd Mayweather definitely put a series of bets that this fight will go the distance,” TV host Sid Seixeiro tweeted in response to the video.
“There were a few occasions during the bout where you couldn’t help but question if Mayweather was restraining his punches — and possibly physically holding Paul back from a knockout finish,” Henry McKenna of For The Win wrote.
Benton Blount, a musician, added: “It appears that fans of both Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul who believe that either of them won the fight missed the moment when Floyd knocked Paul out and then held him up to help him win the battle. Why are you arguing over a fight that has already been decided?”
“Everything is pro wrestling,” wrote wrestler Allysin Kay.
While the fight was sold on the large size disparity between the two men – Paul’s towering stature was tough to manoeuvre around, and both men fought in the clinch on a frequent basis – the battle was also marketed on the tremendous size disparity between the two men.
During some of the bout, the YouTuber also wrestled.
Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul were spotted grinning from ear to ear as they walked back to their dressing rooms.
They were rejoicing with their respective squads.
According to several reports, both guys are expected to walk away with a large sum of money. Mayweather is said to be worth $132 million.
Paul’s net worth is estimated to be at $20 million. And this has enraged many individuals, particularly those involved in violent sports such as boxing and mixed martial arts.

It's crazy to think that Logan Paul (0-1) just made $20M on a boxing exhibition.
WHAT ARE WE DOING WRONG? 🤔
