Jada Pinkett-Smith indulged in vaginal steaming and discussed men’s uneasiness with female artists on the newest edition of Red Table Talk on Facebook Watch with Willow Smith and Adrienne Banfield-Norris.
Men should be able to “respect and laud” female musicians, she said, provided they can listen to lyrics that “abuse the vagina.”
Jada brought up the subject when she mentioned how society views vaginas differently than penises.
“I’m sure boys speak about their penises all day,” Jada speculated. “That’s why I’m telling you right now that I’m not interested in hearing anything about this show. Because it’s TMI and all, you can listen to all these small rap artists rant about and abuse the vagina. You can certainly see ladies praising and honoring it.”
“And spend quality time,” Jada said, “so I don’t want to hear it.” “They’ll say, ‘It’s TMI.’ ‘Oh, my God,’ I said. And that doesn’t matter to me because we need to shift the narrative around the vaginal area, and women need to reclaim it.”
Vaginal steaming has also been lauded by Gwyneth Paltrow as a healthy technique.
