Jason Derulo and his girlfriend Jena Frumes welcomed their first child on May 8th, according to a statement released on Tuesday.
The “Savage Love” singer, 31, wrote on Instagram alongside a video of him and the model, 27, on their way to the hospital and after the birth of their son, “The happiest day of my life taking our baby boy (Jason King Derulo) home.”
Derulo continued, “He’s so fortunate to have such a strong loving hero of a mother @jenafrumes.”
Frumes also took to Instagram to share a snapshot of herself holding the newborn’s tiny paws, as well as a series of selfies from the hospital. In each photo, she used a sunbeam-like filter to obscure Jason Jr.’s face.
She captioned the photo, “A snapshot of my first week with our safe handsome little king.” “I am so thankful that my life now has so much more meaning. I’m head over heels in love with this little boy; he’s everything I didn’t realise I wanted. 05/08/2021.”
“I love you forever @jasonderulo,” she wrote.
In March, the couple announced that they were expecting a child.
Derulo wrote on social media at the time, “Couldn’t be more excited for this new chapter of our lives.”
Right before the coronavirus pandemic engulfed the country, the TikTok sensation and Frumes met at an Equinox gym.
He told CN News, “We both have a common urge to work out all the time, and I had seen her once before, and then the second time, I was like, ‘Aight, I’ma go talk to her,” “And the rest, as they say, is history.”
