Jayson Tatum Responds To Kyrie Irving’s Racism Remarks

Kyrie Irving is set to return to Boston tonight, and there are concerns that the crowd may be hostile to him.

The Celtics fandom has a poor reputation, and this reputation extends to other sports such as baseball, hockey, and football.

In fact, Kyrie mentioned this reputation ahead of tonight’s game, saying that he hopes the fans don’t make any racist comments.

Marcus Smart, a Celtics standout, has acknowledged that he has encountered racism from Celtics fans in the past, which makes it difficult for him to play for them.

Jayson Tatum was asked about Kyrie’s remarks during today’s broadcast of The Jump, and the Celtics superstar responded calmly.

Tatum, on the other hand, has not been a victim of said bigotry, despite the fact that he understands what Kyrie is saying, and all he wants is for everyone to be courteous.

“Whether on or off the court, everyone is expected to act a certain manner. I understood what he was saying and tried to keep the conversation focused on basketball before revealing whether or not he has received racial remarks,” Tatum stated.

“Not in my direction. Everyone has a unique set of experiences. It is something that should never be permitted in any situation.”

No one wants to see a player insulted in this manner, so hopefully, the Celtics fans are on their best behavior tonight.
