Joshua Bassett Says Olivia Rodrigo Hasn’t spoken to Him Since The Release Of ‘Drivers License’

Since Olivia Rodrigo released “Drivers License” back in January, Joshua Bassett claims he hasn’t spoken to her.

‘Since the release of ‘Drivers License,’ she has not talked to me,’ the singer, who is 20 years old, told GQ.

Actor and producer Ryan Murphy claimed that he tried to get in touch with Rodrigo, 18, to no avail.

By staying in New York City, Bassett claims to have heard her songs which have never been proved to be about him or their breakup on Uber rides and in coffee shops when he was supposedly isolated from her.

According to Bassett, following the publication of the album’s caustic tunes, notably the hit “Good 4 U,” there was an uptick in online abuse.

It was common for him to watch videos of someone threatening to kill someone on TikTok with the caption, “If I ever see that kid on the street, I’m going to f—ing kill him.”

While going down the street in New York City, “it’s hard to witness that and then be a New Yorker.”

In addition to “Crisis,” “Secret,” and “Set Me Free,” Rodrigo’s ex has also published three of his own songs, which he penned earlier this year.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Bassett said that he had finally found the guts to speak up for himself, but refused to say if the songs were about his divorce with Rodrigo.

The song “Crisis” has already sparked speculation among fans that it was created in response to Rodrigo’s music.

“You can play bad guy, but don’t pretend like I never cared for you,” he sings on the record. How can it be that I’m still here while you left? “Wasn’t it you who called off the meeting?”

It seems like a clear contradiction of the story she has been presenting all year long if the songs are about Rodrigo.

“Guess you didn’t mean what you wrote in that song about me,” she says in her hit song “Drivers License.”

Because you mentioned “forever, I now drive by your street alone.”

In late November, Alex Faze and Rodrigo were spotted making out. What about Basset? His romantic life is “non-existent” at the moment, he told GQ.

Representatives for Rodrigo did not respond to CN’s request for comment at the time of publishing.
