It appears like a sequel to Watch The Throne may be on the way.
Fans were treated to a surprise guest appearance from none other than Jay Z during Kanye West’s first listening session for Donda two weeks ago, who teased the notion of Watch The Throne 2 in his raps.
“Hol’ up, Donda, I’m with your baby when I touch back road / Told him, ‘Stop all of that red cap, we goin’ home’ / Not me with all of these sins, hurling stones / This may be The Throne (Throne),” Jay rapped.
Fans have been waiting for formal confirmation of both the song and the potential of a Watch The Throne 2 album since then, and according to Justin Laboy, a social media celebrity and Kanye associate, the latter is in the works.
Justin came to Twitter just before Donda’s second listening event last night to notify fans that Watch The Throne 2 will be released at the end of the year.
“Keep an eye out for Game of Thrones 2 at the end of the year. Kanye and Hov are going to create history once more.”
He went on to say that the two superstars’ passion for music is still alive and well, and that they want to please their fans.
“YES. HOV & YE are resuming construction. They were both wealthy enough to retire from rapping, but their shared love for making people happy drew them back in.”
