Quavo launched his own record label, Huncho Records, in the year 2020.
904 Reebok, Pop Out Boyz, and Street Bud are just a few of the musicians who have signed to the imprint.
Quavo recently recruited Georgian musician Yung Petro to his label.
Yung Petro is a 26-year-old artist who had previously been self-sufficient, but since taking music more seriously, he has attracted the attention of some major artists, including Quavo.
Petro, for example, has a song called “Gang Shit” with Blac Youngsta, as well as a song called “First Day Out Da Feds” with over a million views on YouTube.
Petro took to Instagram after the Athens Banner-Herald revealed the news of his signing, expressing his excitement for the new chance ahead of him.
“I AM NOT IN ANY WAY PERFECT! I MAKE MISTAKES ALL THE TIME, BUT I PROMISE THAT I AM ONE OF THE TRUE! “he penned “THANK YOU FOR CHANGING MY LIFE, @quavohuncho! @onlineathens com THANK YOU FOR INCLUDING ME IN YOUR ARTICLE! IT’S NICE TO SEE A BLACK MAN IN THE PAPER FOR A GOOD CAUSE! HUNCHO RECORDS ARE AT THE TOP!”
Yung Petro is set to release a new project later this year, and as he mentioned, he wants to learn as much as he can under Quavo’s tutelage.
“There’s so much information out there; all I have to do is sit back and absorb it,” says the player “Petro expressed his thoughts.”
“I don’t feel any pressure since all I do is get in the booth and rap about my life, my friends’ lives, and what I’ve seen and experienced. People in my hometown are aware of it and can relate to it.”
