Sydney Chase, an Instagram star, has now received a cease-and-desist letter from Tristan Thompson’s lawyer, despite saying she never received it the day before.
Thompson never took legal action against the 23-year-old model, who says she had a sexual encounter with the NBA star and Khloé Kardashian’s boyfriend in January.
She has since learned that the letter was sent, but to an email address she rarely checks.
She updated fans on her Instagram Story earlier today, saying, “I finally got the cease and desist hours after I made my post online.” “It was sent to an email address that I no longer use.”
Chase, on the other hand, reaffirmed her earlier statements that she would not be silenced or threatened by Thompson’s counsel, Marty Singer, or the wealthy Kardashian family.
She mentioned in her most recent post that she will not be labelled a liar and that she will continue to discuss her alleged encounter with the Bolton Celtics player.
“However, I’m choosing not to comply and am going forwards with the facts,” she wrote defiantly. “I’m not going to be called a liar.”
Chase recently said that she and Thompson had a fling back in January. He allegedly told her that he was not dating Kardashian, the mother of his three-year-old daughter True.
Chase later learned that the couple was in the process of reconciling.
She said on the No Jumper podcast on April 23 that “he told me he wasn’t in a relationship anymore, so I said OK.”
“We talked, we worked out, we went out together, we did all together. It happened, and then I discovered he wasn’t single, so I unfriended him.”
Chase’s claims have been consistently refuted by Thompson.
Although Chase is apparently refusing to comply with the legal document, No Jumper host Adam John Grandmaison, who has since deleted the podcast, is one person who will.
Grandmaison told Page Six yesterday, “We received a cease-and-desist and deleted it.” “Honestly, if I knew it was going to ruin a relationship, I wouldn’t have posted it in the first place.”
“You recklessly allowed Ms. Chase to make outlandish false allegations about my client on the podcast without trying to check her claims in any way,” Thompson’s lawyer wrote in a letter to Grandmaison.
According to reports, the letter went on to specifically answer Chase: “It’s clear that you’re a liar.
Your argument that you had a romantic relationship with Mr. Thompson is completely false.
The allegedly existing messages are also made up, and they put words in my client’s mouth that he never said and that contradict his thoughts and feelings. This is false and defamatory.”
