Since comedian Kevin Hart plastered his real phone number across billboards in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and New York City, Nick Cannon’s phone has been ringing off the hook.
Hart posted a photo of the LA billboard to his Instagram page on Friday, alleging the prank was payback for the “Wildin’ Out” host receiving a llama for his 42nd birthday the week before.
Hart captioned the shot, “Since my brother @nickcannon decided to buy me a lama for my B Day I decided to do something nice for him as well, here is a digital billboard in Los Angeles….I also did some in ATL & NY….if u want any advice on fatherhood please call my BEST FRIEND @nickcannon ….I’m sure his phone has been ringing nonstop 😂😂😂😂😂😂 GOTCHA BACK BITCH #PRANKWARS.”
“For any advice on fatherhood, call my closest pal Nick Cannon,” reads the ad.
“Hey guys!” it continues in a smaller font. “Here’s his phone number,” she added, displaying the MTV star’s Los Angeles number for everybody to see.
Hart’s remark to “fatherhood” is definitely in reference to Cannon’s recent births of his fifth, sixth, and seventh children.
Fans started calling and texting the father of seven right away, and Cannon was gracious enough to take multiple calls and FaceTime requests from startled fans who couldn’t believe they’d reached the television star.
Cannon, 40, posted an Instagram Story showing him receiving at least 20 calls from fans, including callers from Zimbabwe and Nigeria.
There were so many calls that the phone’s caller ID picked up multiple numbers at the same time.
“Take a look at that. It’s arriving in twos and threes at a time. “It won’t stop ringing, and there’s a white screen now,” Cannon explained. “It’s damaged my phone!
Cannon went on to call Hart “very s–tty” for the joke and promised to bring him back someday.
