According to a source, an individual was killed in a shooting at Vancouver International Airport in Canada on Sunday afternoon.
The Vancouver Sun confirmed, citing sources, that gunfire erupted outside the airport’s main terminal at about 3 p.m. local time.
According to the paper, the suspects fled in a Honda Pilot and fired at police while fleeing.
The newspaper announced that their getaway vehicle was later discovered burning in Surrey’s Royal Heights neighborhood.
The airport was briefly put on lockdown after the daylight shooting before authorities cleared the scene.
It was unclear if any arrests were made later Sunday.
