It’s unknown why Rich The Kid wanted to go down to one of Los Angeles’ wealthiest neighborhoods and throw money around, but it allegedly got him in trouble with the law.
The newly-signed Rostrum Records artist launched his latest single “Richard Mille Patek” at the top of Friday morning along with a video in which the rapper flexed cash and cars.
Rich reportedly went down to Rodeo Drive to cause some havoc, according to reports and videos of the incident.
The rapper allegedly made it rain on Rodeo, a Beverly Hills and Bel Air street that serves as a back yard for the rich and famous.
People from all over the world flock to the location to shop for high-end, luxury designer brands, but it devolved into chaos yesterday when money flew through the air.
Rich arrived in a Rolls-Royce Phantom and stopped outside of the Louis Vuitton and Burberry stores, according to witnesses, before rolling down the window and handing out cash to strangers.
It wasn’t even an Usher bucks stunt. Someone tried to ask the rapper how much money he was giving away, but he didn’t respond directly.
Rich The Kid was quickly apprehended by police, and despite the rapper’s best efforts to escape the scene, sources says that Rich was ticketed for littering.
Rich will have to pay between $250 and $1,000 for the display.
