Someone should inform Ciara about Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ divorce.
The 35-year-old singer and her husband, Russell Wilson, commemorated their fifth wedding anniversary in Venice by replicating a portrait of the royal couple taken in the Italian city in 1985.
Ciara posted side-by-side images on Twitter on Monday with the phrase, “You always make me feel like a princess.”
She and Wilson’s rendition depicts them exiting the same building as Diana and Charles exited.
The Seattle Seahawks quarterback, 32, is front and center in their rendition of the shot, leading the attack. His Grammy-winning wife is a few steps behind him, her hands clasped together as she walks forwards with two security bodyguards on either side of her.
It’s virtually identical to the original photograph of Charles and Diana, taken less than a decade before their painful divorce.
Other images in the posts depicted Ciara and Wilson resting against a brick wall while standing near to each other, as well as Ciara sitting up in an ancient chair-shaped stone with Wilson sitting next to her.
Ciara and Wilson married on July 6, 2016, barely three months after they became engaged and a year after they began dating.
To keep up with their relationship’s fast pace, the “1, 2 Step” singer revealed she was expecting four months after their wedding. Sienna, their daughter, was born in April 2017, and Win, their boy, was born in July 2020.
Ciara was previously engaged to rapper Future before meeting the NFL star. Their 7-year-old son is also called Future.
