Safaree Samuels is justifying his recent social media postings on skin bleaching, which surprised few.
Safaree made headlines just before the birth of his newborn son when he declared online that he was starting the “skin bleaching process.”
He went on to say that it was “time for a change,” which the people misunderstood.
The immediate reactions were mixed, but the general assumption was that the Love & Hip Hop star was playing a joke or seeking attention.
Samuels then doubled down on his “bleaching” by tweeting a heavily manipulated photo of himself, but he was called out again more.
Safaree reappeared, apologising for his recent misbehaviour.
“I just want to stress that I would never, ever, ever bleach my skin in a million years,”safaree Samuels added.
“That’s all I’m saying because I’m launching a skincare brand that’s designed to enhance your already flawless skin. That’s all there is to it. So, to everyone who was messaging me and wondering if I was going to bleach my skin, I said no.”
Safaree reaffirmed that he would never do anything to change his skin tone, and once the video went viral, many people told him that they didn’t believe him in the first place.
