The latest season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta is in the works, and right off the bat, the show is focusing on Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena’s marriage problems.
The pair declared they were divorcing, this time for real, months ago, and their problems have been revealed as more information about their breakup unfolds.
It’s all being repeated on VH1, and it appears that Safaree underestimated the time commitment that being a father entails.
Erica recently came to Instagram to accuse Kaylin Garcia, Joe Budden’s ex-girlfriend, of having a sexual relationship with Safaree.
Erica gave birth just days before, and on Thursday (July 8), she uploaded a moving message in which she said she has spent the last 10 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, looking to the health of her and Safee’s infant while he’s been out partying.
In a lengthy description, Mena wrote, “Legend Brian Samuels & Mommy remaining STRONG.”
“So far, I’ve felt lost five out of 10 days. I’m feeling guilty, perplexed, and terrified. I’ve been getting a lot of phone calls and mails. I’m constantly asked how I’m doing and if I’m okay. But what are you doing? Is it possible for you to be okay right now? BUT, I remind myself, people care about me and are reaching out to me because they care about me. They may not comprehend, but they desire to. This adventure I’m on appears to be quite long. It’s been difficult. I’m taking some steps forwards and some steps back. I have good days and bad days, and I’m ready for both.”
The mother of three stated that she is concentrating on “preserving my peace” and “converting my grief into power.”
Mena said, “I assure you, King – Safire – Legend, your mother will make you proud. There will be no more settling and battling for anything less than the best of me because you three have always deserved the best of me.”
Meanwhile, Safaree is reported to be in Jamaica celebrating his birthday.
