The Rock aspires to be MI6 agent 007
Dwayne Johnson, the former pro wrestler turned actor, has shown an interest in taking over as James Bond from Daniel Craig, according to a recent statement.
During an interview with Esquire, Johnson, 49, stated that he would like to “follow in his footsteps and be the next James Bond.”
Johnson, whose grandpa Peter Maivia starred as a Bond villain in the 1967 film “You Only Live Twice,” isn’t happy with simply participating in a Bond film in the franchise. He wants to be a part of the Bond universe.
A huge smile spread across The Rock’s face as he said, “I don’t want to be a villain.” “You’ve got to be James Bond.”
No Time to Die was Craig’s final performance in the character of the British spy, and it was his sixth appearance in the film, which was released in theatres last month.
Craig has been the face of 007 since 2006, when he appeared as Bond in the film “Casino Royale.” Craig is 53 years old.
In the event that Johnson were to take on the role of the renowned movie character, he would become the ninth actor to portray the MI6 secret agent in history.
Johnson’s next films include the superhero film “Black Adam,” which will be released in the summer of 2022, and the animated comedy “DC League of Super-Pets,” which will be released in May of this year.
He also described his practise of urinating in water bottles during his tough workouts in an interview with Esquire, which was published on November 11th.
The chiselled gym rat and former University of Miami football player also shared his thoughts on the subject in the magazine.
“I do pee in my water bottles, but let me explain why,” Johnson remarked. “Let me explain why.”
This is not a water bottle that I’ve acquired simply for the purpose of holding water, and it is not a water bottle that you wash and clean once you’ve finished using it.
“The bottles in question are just ones that I’m no longer utilising.”
According to the movie star, “usually the gyms where I work out don’t have a restroom since they’re an iron paradise.” “They’re just hot, sweaty, and filthy.”
