Unbelievable Photo Of Ghislaine Maxwell From Behind Bars Released

Ghislaine Maxwell’s lawyer released the first photo of the accused sex trafficker since her arrest last year on Thursday, showing the former socialite with a bruise under her eye.

Ghislaine Maxwell’s lawyer released the first photo of the accused sex trafficker since her arrest last year on Thursday, showing the former socialite with a bruise under her eye.

The photograph of Ms Maxwell was included in a letter filed by her lawyer Bobbi Sternheim in her Manhattan federal criminal case, in which she stated that the apparent injury caused friction between her and guards at the jail, the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Brooklyn.

Ms Sternheim wrote in the letter that she was confronted by MDC staff last night over a visible bruise over her left eye.

“No guard addressed the bruise until Ms Maxwell, who lacks a mirror, noticed her aching eye reflected in the glean of a nail clipper.

At that point, MDC staff confronted Ms Maxwell about the source of the bruise, threatening to place her in the SHU if she did not reveal how she obtained it,” she added.

Ms Sternheim added that guards at the MDC place inmates in the special housing unit if they have been injured in the jail or are a victim of inmate abuse.

However, Ms Maxwell’s attorneys believe she received the bruise as a result of being forced to cover her eyes at night with a sock or towel due to guards shining lights in her cell every 15 minutes.

“It’s unsurprising that she may have inadvertently injured herself while attempting to keep the light out of her eyes at night,” attorney David Marks said.

“She could have been in a state of semi-sleep while being tortured by flashing lights. Please keep in mind that ten months of insufficient sleep, inedible food, and undrinkable water in solitary confinement have passed. For no reason at all. How would you appear?” Markus supplemented.

Maxwell is awaiting trial on sex trafficking and other charges stemming from her alleged involvement in the 1990s and early 2000s in procuring underage girls for Jeffrey Epstein to abuse.

She has entered a not guilty plea and is scheduled to stand trial later this year.
